Jingh was born November 1979 and raised in Rajasthan,
India. His passion for art started at an early age in 3rd class when he won a
school art competition. He remembers the prize was a pencil case but the
bigger prize for him personally was boost it gave to his pride and
confidence. The work he produced at this young age was outstanding.
Unfortunately Jingh's father could not see any future in painting for a
living and often ridiculed and put down his efforts with no support or
encouragement form the family and his father insisting he find work due to a
family money problem Jingh was forced to forget about painting and pursue his
own business venture. In 2000 he started a "Ready made clothing shop" and
also a "Paper Run" not only doing two jobs, Jingh continued his studies part
time at University graduating in philosophy, marwary language and public
administration. His days started at 4:00 am and finished at 12:00 am, there
was no time for painting in his life at that time.
Then life decided to deal a fatal blow to Jingh and his family. His much
loved younger brother was killed in an accident soon after that his childhood
best friend died in a road accident and while Jingh was overcome with grief
and sadness, he had a fatal motorbike accident where his pillion passenger
was killed and he left with serious injuries. Unable to work and consumed
with grief and depression Jingh closed both business and went into recluse
for two years, shutting himself off from the world he turned to his painting.
His private collection reflects his state of mind at that time.
I n 2006 fate would have it that he became close friends with a New Zealand
woman who was fascinated with his art work and placed orders for his
paintings. Jingh was equally fascinated with her full back tattoo and is now
practicing the art of tattooing as well as continuing with is passion for
painting.
Award winning photographer Martin Phila form Arizona, USA is impressed with
Jingh's art work and has given him some of his photos to paint in oils. After
seeing one painting he commented "My god, his work is better than photo".
